Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Charles Willson Peale achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2008. In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work Cabbage Patch, The Gardens Of Belfield, Pennsylvania sold for USD 109,000.00 (€ 70,051.41) - well above the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00.
