Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Littlehampton by Charles William Wyllie was sold in the Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in July 2018. The price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,109.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles William Wyllie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Backwater in September 2019 with an auction result of GBP 62,562.00 (€ 70,593.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Littlehampton von Charles William Wyllie wurde im Juli 2018 in der Auktion Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.109,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles William Wyllie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Backwater im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 62.562,00 (€ 70.593,80).
