Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Christies in London held the auction British & European Art, which included the work On the way to the festival by Charles William Wyllie. The price achieved of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 41,828.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Other works by Charles William Wyllie have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2019 the work The Backwater was auctioned for GBP 62,562.00 (€ 70,593.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion British & European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the way to the festival von Charles William Wyllie zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 41.828,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Charles William Wyllie konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September 2019 die Arbeit The Backwater für GBP 62.562,00 (€ 70.593,80) versteigert.
