Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 528.75 (€ 841.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles William Day - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Collection Of Twenty Works On Paper Depicting The Landscape, Flora And Fauna Of The West Indies 13 X 21.5 Cm (5 1/8 X 8 7/16In) And Smaller. (20), which sold at auction in February 2019 for GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,041.44).
