Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2005 Christies in London held the auction PORTRAIT MINIATURES, OBJECTS OF VERTU AND SILVER, which included the work A young lady, in orange dress with yellow border and wearing a black stole over her shoulders, long fair hair by Charles William Day. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 420.00 (€ 616.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles William Day - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Collection Of Twenty Works On Paper Depicting The Landscape, Flora And Fauna Of The West Indies 13 X 21.5 Cm (5 1/8 X 8 7/16In) And Smaller. (20), which sold at auction in February 2019 for GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,041.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion PORTRAIT MINIATURES, OBJECTS OF VERTU AND SILVER durch, in der auch die Arbeit A young lady, in orange dress with yellow border and wearing a black stole over her shoulders, long fair hair von Charles William Day zur Versteigerung kam. A Collection Of Twenty Works On Paper Depicting The Landscape, Flora And Fauna Of The West Indies 13 X 21.5 Cm (5 1/8 X 8 7/16In) And Smaller. (20) beobachtet, die im Februar 2019 für GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.041,44) versteigert wurde.
