Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Camel at the Gateway, Peking by Charles Bartlett was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,542.76). Admittedly, works by Charles Bartlett have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Surf Riders, Honolulu, circa 1921 in September last year with an auction result of USD 31,875.00 (€ 32,582.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Camel at the Gateway, Peking von Charles Bartlett kam im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.840,00 (€ 3.542,76) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Bartlett auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Surf Riders, Honolulu, circa 1921 im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.875,00 (€ 32.582,03).
