Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wild Bird Series No.55, Smew; And Wild Bird Series No. 71, Heron by Charles Walter Simpson was sold in the British and Continental Pictures auction at Christies in London in November 2005. It changed hands for a price of GBP 456.00 (€ 669.92) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Walter Simpson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Flight Of The Wild Duck in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 26,274.96).

Die Arbeit Wild Bird Series No.55, Smew; And Wild Bird Series No. 71, Heron von Charles Walter Simpson wurde im November 2005 in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 456,00 (€ 669,92) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Walter Simpson erzielen.
