Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles Walter Simpson could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work A mare and a foal, mist over the hills changed hands for GBP 500.00 (€ 604.54) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Walter Simpson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Flight Of The Wild Duck in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 26,274.96).
