In November 2012 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors - Style & Spirit Including Collection of a Nobleman Part I, which included the work Red-throated diver by Charles Walter Simpson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,847.85), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Walter Simpson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Flight Of The Wild Duck in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 26,274.96).

Im November 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors - Style & Spirit Including Collection of a Nobleman Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Red-throated diver von Charles Walter Simpson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.847,85) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Walter Simpson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Flight Of The Wild Duck im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 26.274,96).
