Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2012 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Orientalist Art, which included the work Bedouin encampment before the Temple of Hathor at Dendera, Egypt by Charles Vacher. The price achieved of GBP 39,650.00 (€ 49,096.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Other works by Charles Vacher have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2007 the work The Fête of The Marriage of The Adriatic, Venice was auctioned for GBP 60,000.00 (€ 89,036.98).
