In June 2005 Christies in London held the auction A PRIVATE COLLECTION OF OTTOMAN & ORIENTALIST PAINTINGS, which included the work Above Aswan by Charles Vacher. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,758.21), 30% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Vacher achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fête of The Marriage of The Adriatic, Venice in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 89,036.98).

Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion A PRIVATE COLLECTION OF OTTOMAN & ORIENTALIST PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Above Aswan von Charles Vacher zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.758,21) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Vacher erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Fête of The Marriage of The Adriatic, Venice im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 89.036,98).
