Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2005 Christies in New York held the auction Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work 'The Last Drop' by Charles Schreyvogel. Here, the upper estimate of USD 70,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 72,000.00 (€ 60,800.54). Admittedly, works by Charles Schreyvogel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Last Drop 12 in. high in November last year with an auction result of USD 353,175.00 (€ 342,124.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'The Last Drop' von Charles Schreyvogel zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 70.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 72.000,00 (€ 60.800,54) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Schreyvogel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Last Drop 12 in. high im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 353.175,00 (€ 342.124,38).
