Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work The Last Drop by Charles Schreyvogel. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 55,197.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Charles Schreyvogel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Last Drop 12 in. high in November last year with an auction result of USD 353,175.00 (€ 342,124.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Last Drop von Charles Schreyvogel zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 55.197,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Schreyvogel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Last Drop 12 in. high im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 353.175,00 (€ 342.124,38).
