Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Last Drop by Charles Schreyvogel was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2010. The price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 50,529.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 75,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Schreyvogel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Last Drop 12 in. high in November last year with an auction result of USD 353,175.00 (€ 342,124.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Last Drop von Charles Schreyvogel kam im Mai 2010 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 50.529,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 75.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Schreyvogel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Last Drop 12 in. high im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 353.175,00 (€ 342.124,38).
