Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2007 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Travellers By A Horse And Cart In A Wooded Landscape by Charles Rochussen. The price achieved of EUR 4,800.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Rochussen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stadholder William III inspecting the troups at Hinderschans, which sold at auction in April 2003 for EUR 10,755.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2007 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Travellers By A Horse And Cart In A Wooded Landscape von Charles Rochussen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.800,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Rochussen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stadholder William III inspecting the troups at Hinderschans beobachtet, die im April 2003 für EUR 10.755,00 versteigert wurde.
