A top price for Charles Rochussen - as previously expected
In April 2003 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART, which included the work Stadholder William III inspecting the troups at Hinderschans by Charles Rochussen. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 10,755.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Stadholder William III inspecting the troups at Hinderschans is the most expensive artwork by Charles Rochussen that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im April 2003 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Stadholder William III inspecting the troups at Hinderschans von Charles Rochussen zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 10.755,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Stadholder William III inspecting the troups at Hinderschans das teuerste Kunstwerk von Charles Rochussen, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
