Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Juliet by Charles Robert Leslie was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2020. The price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,636.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Robert Leslie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sancho Panza in the Apartment of the Duchess, which sold at auction in February 2003 for GBP 14,340.00 (€ 20,935.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Juliet von Charles Robert Leslie kam im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.636,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Robert Leslie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sancho Panza in the Apartment of the Duchess beobachtet, die im Februar 2003 für GBP 14.340,00 (€ 20.935,95) versteigert wurde.
