The work Callings Of Saint Peter And Andrew (Miracle Of The Fishes) by Charles Prendergast was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2018. It achieved a price of USD 175,000.00 (€ 149,957.16), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Charles Prendergast have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fantasy in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 704,075.00 (€ 631,514.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Callings Of Saint Peter And Andrew (Miracle Of The Fishes) von Charles Prendergast wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 175.000,00 (€ 149.957,16) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Prendergast auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fantasy im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 704.075,00 (€ 631.514,04).
