Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The first snow, the mountains of Coniston, from Windermere by Charles Pettitt was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,115.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Charles Pettitt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The river ferry in March 2011 with an auction result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,525.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The first snow, the mountains of Coniston, from Windermere von Charles Pettitt kam im Oktober 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion.
