This artwork by Louis Verboeckhoven achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2010. In the Old Masters and 19th Century Art auction, the work Fishermen at the harbour entrance sold for EUR 16,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Verboeckhoven - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Calm: Sailingvessels In An Estuary At Dusk ; A Storm: Sailing Vessels Approaching A Harbour, which sold at auction in June 2001 for NLG 76,375.00 (€ 36,709.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Louis Verboeckhoven erzielte im April 2010 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art wurde die Arbeit Fishermen at the harbour entrance für EUR 16.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Verboeckhoven mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Calm: Sailingvessels In An Estuary At Dusk ; A Storm: Sailing Vessels Approaching A Harbour beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für NLG 76.375,00 (€ 36.709,39) versteigert wurde.
