Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Belgian Shipping Off The Coast by Louis Verboeckhoven. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louis Verboeckhoven have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Calm: Sailingvessels In An Estuary At Dusk ; A Storm: Sailing Vessels Approaching A Harbour in June 2001 with an auction result of NLG 76,375.00 (€ 36,709.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Belgian Shipping Off The Coast von Louis Verboeckhoven zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Verboeckhoven auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Calm: Sailingvessels In An Estuary At Dusk ; A Storm: Sailing Vessels Approaching A Harbour im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 76.375,00 (€ 36.709,39).
