Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Moonlight on the Cambrian coast; and Sunset over the Cambrian mountains by Charles Leslie was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2003. The price achieved of GBP 646.25 (€ 989.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Leslie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures resting by a lake with cattle watering in a mountainous landscape in September 2001 with an auction result of GBP 3,760.00 (€ 6,070.79).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 646,25 (€ 989,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden.
