The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,470.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Charles Leslie have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2001 the work Figures resting by a lake with cattle watering in a mountainous landscape was auctioned for GBP 3,760.00 (€ 6,070.79).
