This artwork by Charles Keith Miller achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2005. In the MARITIME PICTURES auction, the work The Racing Cutter Galatea Off The Fastnet Rock, 1885 sold for GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,291.84) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Keith Miller - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Freja in Scottish waters, which sold at auction in November 2000 for GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,377.38).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Keith Miller erzielte im November 2005 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion MARITIME PICTURES wurde die Arbeit The Racing Cutter Galatea Off The Fastnet Rock, 1885 für GBP 1.560,00 (€ 2.291,84) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Keith Miller mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Freja in Scottish waters beobachtet, die im November 2000 für GBP 3.290,00 (€ 5.377,38) versteigert wurde.
