Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Housed Topmasts by Charles Keith Miller was sold in the Maritime & Naval Battles (Pictures) auction at Christies in London in November 2006. The price achieved of GBP 600.00 (€ 891.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Keith Miller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Freja in Scottish waters in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,377.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Housed Topmasts von Charles Keith Miller wurde im November 2006 in der Auktion Maritime & Naval Battles (Pictures) bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 600,00 (€ 891,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Keith Miller auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Freja in Scottish waters im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.290,00 (€ 5.377,38).
