Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Approaching the turning mark by Charles Keith Miller for USD 2,629.00 (€ 2,683.75). This price was achieved in the auction Maritime at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Keith Miller - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Freja in Scottish waters, which sold at auction in November 2000 for GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,377.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Approaching the turning mark von Charles Keith Miller für USD 2.629,00 (€ 2.683,75) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Maritime bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Keith Miller mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Freja in Scottish waters beobachtet, die im November 2000 für GBP 3.290,00 (€ 5.377,38) versteigert wurde.
