A top price for Charles James Lauder - as previously expected
In May 2002 Christies in London held the auction The London Sale, which included the work The Royal Exchange by Charles James Lauder. The price achieved of GBP 2,987.50 (€ 4,678.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Royal Exchange is the most expensive artwork by Charles James Lauder that we have observed at auctions so far.
