Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles James Adams could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES auction, the work King Richard III's body being returned to Leicester changed hands for GBP 352.50 (€ 506.02) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles James Adams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cattle Warming Themselves On A Summer'S Day; And Wintertime, Cattle By A Fence (Illustrated) in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,801.21).
