Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work The Office by Charles Houghton Howard for USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,111.03). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Houghton Howard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Winter Painting in April 2014 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 90,122.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Office von Charles Houghton Howard für USD 11.250,00 (€ 8.111,03) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Houghton Howard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Winter Painting im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 90.122,57).
