Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles Leickert could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and European Art auction, the work A summer scene changed hands for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,436.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Leickert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work At the 'koek en zopie' in a panoramic winter landscape in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 132,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Leickert konnte im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and European Art wechselte die Arbeit A summer scene für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.436,91) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Leickert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit At the 'koek en zopie' in a panoramic winter landscape im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 132.250,00.
