Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Lever de soleil sur la Seine by Charles Guilloux was worth EUR 16,380.00 to a buyer in October 2021. This price was achieved in the auction Art Impressionniste et Moderne Day Sale at Sothebys in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 4,500.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Charles Guilloux; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Landscape At Sunset sold at auction in November 2017 with the realized price of EUR 32,500.00.
