In October 2021 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Art Impressionniste et Moderne Day Sale, which included the work La Seine by Charles Guilloux. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 10,710.00 53% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Guilloux - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape At Sunset, which sold at auction in November 2017 for EUR 32,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 53 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Art Impressionniste et Moderne Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Seine von Charles Guilloux zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 10.710,00 und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Guilloux mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape At Sunset beobachtet, die im November 2017 für EUR 32.500,00 versteigert wurde.
