Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Bonhams held the auction 19th Century and British Impressionist Art, which included the work A bit of old Hampstead by Charles Green. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,355.00 (€ 6,092.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Charles Green have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2003 the work Dancing Girls and Musicians, Coromandel, Madras was auctioned for GBP 11,950.00 (€ 12,036.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A bit of old Hampstead von Charles Green zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.355,00 (€ 6.092,35) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Charles Green konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September 2003 die Arbeit Dancing Girls and Musicians, Coromandel, Madras für GBP 11.950,00 (€ 12.036,91) versteigert.
