Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles Green could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Watercolours including Original auction, the work At the court of James II changed hands for GBP 107.55 (€ 162.53) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Green achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dancing Girls and Musicians, Coromandel, Madras in September 2003 with an auction result of GBP 11,950.00 (€ 12,036.91).
