A top price for Charles Fréger - as previously expected
The work Water Polo Players by Charles Fréger was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in London in November 2011. It changed hands for a price of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,214.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Water Polo Players is the most expensive artwork by Charles Fréger that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Water Polo Players von Charles Fréger wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.214,73) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Water Polo Players das teuerste Kunstwerk von Charles Fréger, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
