Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Rikishi 3 by Charles Fréger for GBP 625.00 (€ 709.47). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Fréger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Water Polo Players in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,214.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Rikishi 3 von Charles Fréger für GBP 625,00 (€ 709,47) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Fréger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Water Polo Players im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.214,73).
