Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work The Sheep Shearer by Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe. The price achieved of GBP 956.25 (€ 1,141.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Magnani Modena Pigeon (illustrated); Two Starling Pigeons (one illustrated); A Swabian or Starling Pigeon; and A Swabian Pigeon in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 13,145.00 (€ 19,563.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Sheep Shearer von Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 956,25 (€ 1.141,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Magnani Modena Pigeon (illustrated); Two Starling Pigeons (one illustrated); A Swabian or Starling Pigeon; and A Swabian Pigeon im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.145,00 (€ 19.563,70).
