Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Four Baby Thrushes on Oak Leaves by Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,522.58). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Magnani Modena Pigeon (illustrated); Two Starling Pigeons (one illustrated); A Swabian or Starling Pigeon; and A Swabian Pigeon in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 13,145.00 (€ 19,563.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Four Baby Thrushes on Oak Leaves von Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.275,00 (€ 1.522,58) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Magnani Modena Pigeon (illustrated); Two Starling Pigeons (one illustrated); A Swabian or Starling Pigeon; and A Swabian Pigeon im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.145,00 (€ 19.563,70).
