The work Playtime by Charles Edward Wilson was sold in the Victorian & Edwardian Art auction at Sothebys in London in July 2007. It achieved a price of GBP 10,800.00 (€ 16,040.49), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 54%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Charles Edward Wilson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Home Sweet Home sold at auction in June 2007 with the realized price of GBP 15,600.00 (€ 23,149.62).

Die Arbeit Playtime von Charles Edward Wilson wurde im Juli 2007 in der Auktion Victorian & Edwardian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 10.800,00 (€ 16.040,49) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 54%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Charles Edward Wilson; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Home Sweet Home im Juni 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 15.600,00 (€ 23.149,62).
