Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2011 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Art, which included the work The Ramparts, Walmer Castle; Portraits of the Countess Granville, and the Ladies Victoria and Mary Leveson-Gower by Charles Edward Perugini. The price achieved of GBP 169,250.00 (€ 202,700.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Other works by Charles Edward Perugini have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2004 the work The Hop Picker was auctioned for GBP 173,250.00 (€ 249,219.19).

Im Dezember 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Ramparts, Walmer Castle; Portraits of the Countess Granville, and the Ladies Victoria and Mary Leveson-Gower von Charles Edward Perugini zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 169.250,00 (€ 202.700,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Charles Edward Perugini konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2004 die Arbeit The Hop Picker für GBP 173.250,00 (€ 249.219,19) versteigert.
