Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Kate by Charles Edward Perugini. The price achieved of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 64,502.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Edward Perugini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Hop Picker, which sold at auction in November 2004 for GBP 173,250.00 (€ 249,219.19).
