In July 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Kate by Charles Edward Perugini. The result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,475.39) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Edward Perugini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Hop Picker in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 173,250.00 (€ 249,219.19).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kate von Charles Edward Perugini zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 33.475,39) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Edward Perugini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Hop Picker im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 173.250,00 (€ 249.219,19).
