Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bronco Ballet by Charlie Dye was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2008. It changed hands for a price of USD 34,000.00 (€ 21,850.90) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charlie Dye - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work First One in Town, which sold at auction in February 2019 for USD 87,500.00 (€ 76,896.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bronco Ballet von Charlie Dye kam im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 34.000,00 (€ 21.850,90) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Charlie Dye mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit First One in Town beobachtet, die im Februar 2019 für USD 87.500,00 (€ 76.896,04) versteigert wurde.
