Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles Caryl Coleman could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings auction, the work Study For 'Capri' changed hands for USD 9,000.00 (€ 6,729.48) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Caryl Coleman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Azaleas And Apple Blossoms in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 2,281,000.00 (€ 1,465,938.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Caryl Coleman konnte im März 2007 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Study For 'Capri' für USD 9.000,00 (€ 6.729,48) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Caryl Coleman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Azaleas And Apple Blossoms im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.281.000,00 (€ 1.465.938,30).
