In February 2002 Christies in New York held the auction FINE AMERICAN PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS AND SCULPTURE, which included the work Capri by Charles Caryl Coleman. The »bidding war« ended at USD 15,275.00 (€ 17,642.64), 70% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Caryl Coleman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Azaleas And Apple Blossoms in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 2,281,000.00 (€ 1,465,938.30).
