Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work The Morning Gun by Charles Brooking. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,408.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Brooking achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Men-O'-War Reefed-Down And Riding Out A Gale in June 2014 with an auction result of GBP 68,500.00 (€ 85,587.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Morning Gun von Charles Brooking zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.408,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Brooking erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Men-O'-War Reefed-Down And Riding Out A Gale im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.500,00 (€ 85.587,47).
