Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work Portraits Of Anne Gulston (1672-1724); And Her Sister, Mary Gulston (B.1667), The Daughters Of James Gulston Of Wyddial, Hertfordshire by Charles Beale Junior. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,020.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Charles Beale Junior have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two portrait studies of children, bust-length in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 33,460.00 (€ 49,798.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portraits Of Anne Gulston (1672-1724); And Her Sister, Mary Gulston (B.1667), The Daughters Of James Gulston Of Wyddial, Hertfordshire von Charles Beale Junior zur Versteigerung kam.
