Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2015 Sothebys in Doha held the auction Contemporary Art / Doha, which included the work La Tragedie Arabe by Chaouki Choukini. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 55,993.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Chaouki Choukini have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2021 the work To Beirut - A Beyrouth - Li Bayrût was auctioned for EUR 60,312.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in Doha die Auktion Contemporary Art / Doha durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Tragedie Arabe von Chaouki Choukini zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 55.993,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Chaouki Choukini konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2021 die Arbeit To Beirut - A Beyrouth - Li Bayrût für EUR 60.312,50 versteigert.
