This artwork by Chao Chung-Hsiang achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2018. In the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction, the work Parental Love(Painted In 1990) sold for HKD 354,000.00 (€ 37,352.66) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chao Chung-Hsiang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Five Phases in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 5,840,000.00 (€ 657,963.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 97 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chao Chung-Hsiang erzielte im April 2018 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Parental Love(Painted In 1990) für HKD 354.000,00 (€ 37.352,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chao Chung-Hsiang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Five Phases im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.840.000,00 (€ 657.963,46).
