Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2018 POLY held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Among Flowers by Chao Chung-Hsiang. It changed hands for a price of HKD 944,000.00 (€ 97,618.18) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 700,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chao Chung-Hsiang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Five Phases in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 5,840,000.00 (€ 657,963.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2018 führte POLY die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Among Flowers von Chao Chung-Hsiang zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 944.000,00 (€ 97.618,18) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 700.000,00 – 1.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chao Chung-Hsiang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Five Phases im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.840.000,00 (€ 657.963,46).
